Explore the best-kept treasures of Arabia on this mountain safari experience. You’ll get a glimpse of desert life and agricultural life, rock formations deep in the desert, Fossil and Camel rocks. Enjoying the Sand boarding experience and exciting dune bashing Experience. Enjoy an exhilarating adventure to the deep trenches and waters of Wadi, the region’s natural water pools. Wadi Shawka in Ras Al Khaimah is covered by Hajjar Mountains from all side and the valley is filled with rocky terrain, farmland, water pools, wildlife and plenty of parking and camping spots. Wadi Shawka is a perfect place for having a family picnics and get-together in nature. You will need to either swim through it or turn back a little bit and climb a small hill to bypass it. Tours also include Arabic coffee, dates, and refreshments and a Snack box and convenient return transfers to your hotel.

Good to know
- Children aged 4.99 years and under are not allowed to join the Tour.
- Pickup will be in a Private 4x4 Land Cruiser with up to 5 people per land Cruiser
- Dress code: lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised. Hats are advisable when in direct sunlight.
- Guests visiting the UAE during the Summer months (June – September) are advised that peak daytime temperatures sometimes reach 42 – 45 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels can also exceed 90 percent during this period. We recommend all our guests to take adequate precaution.
- The Dubai desert can get cooler in the evenings during winter, so we recommend you bring a light jacket and closed shoes. Please wear sports shoes for safe sand boarding.
- The local tour operator reserves the right to cancel any part of the scheduled programs because of government decisions, public holidays, weather conditions, or other similar circumstances.
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
- The duration of the actual tour takes 5 – 6 hour but the driving time from Dubai hotel and return may take another 60 – 90 minutes depending on traffic conditions and time of day.
- Please note that the water availability at Wadi Shawaka will be very much subject to weather conditions.

Amazing tour
My grandson and I did this private tour and was so glad we paid the extra money, we sandboarding, and the swim in the wadi was incredible . Try and do this tour midweek as apparently there is a large crowd on the weekends
Amazing tour
Today was an incredible experience and a huge part was due to our tour guide Javid and if you book this tour make sure you ask for him. The desert and he wadi was incredible and Javid really interacted well with my 13 year old grandson and answered Coopers million and one questions. Today was such a wonderful experience
A must do when you want to know more about the UAE
Simply lovely, we had a great time with Nowfar, especially the dune bashing was a great experience, lovely scenery. There is more then Dubai here to see. Go with Nowfar and you feel safe exploring this amazing country.
Worth visiting town & sand experience
Sahib is a dedicated on-time driver & tour guide detailed the history, origins and traditions of the various attractions, etc. and take us to tour Hatta along the way will also help us take photos. Best of all, a picnic in the desert Sahib also helped us find a shadow place that does not sunshine. Thank you!

<p>You have to take this tour to know UAE! It takes you out of the sky scrapers of Dubai through breathtaking craggy mountains and beautiful desert landscapes. Its like a picture out of a Tintin book. The journey through the red dune desert without a soul in sight cannot be compared with the commercialized evening desert safari. <br/> The tour was well organized by orient tours and our guide Musthafa was fantastic.</p>
