Itinerary
An architectural masterpiece, Westminster Abbey presents a unique pageant of British history – the shrine of St Edward the confessor, the tombs of kings and queens, and countless memorials to the famous and the great. Our guide will help bring to life this remarkable building where 40 English and British coronations have taken place since 1066. You will hear about the most recent coronation of Charles III that took place on the 6th May 2023, the marriage of William and Kate – the Prince and Princess of Wales, and also stop briefly to pay our respect and celebrate the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II whose state funeral also took place at the Abbey.
Our first experience of Westminster Abbey, one of the jewels in London’s crown and a must see for any visitor, is in the 14th century medieval under croft. Originally used by the Benedictine monks to store food and drink - the Cellarium is now a unique restaurant, and we pause here for refreshments. (Refreshments included in the price)

Traveler reviews
Not Priority
The Priority Access Westminster Abbey Tour With professional guide was disappointing in two ways. First, the tour title would suggest priority or special access. There was no priority access, we entered after other tours and the general public . It was very crowded and hard to navigate around all the people, certainly not priority access. Second, the tour information states you can “Skip the POST-tour snack hunt”. However, Coffee and pastries in the cellarium were FIRST. We had just come from breakfast as had everyone else at the table which made this experience not that enjoyable . Definitely not a post tour activity as stated. Our guide was very good, but there were some areas he could not walk with us due to the crowd.
Great Abbey tour with Frank!
Our tour of the abbey with Frank was outstanding. I’ve been there a number of times but Frank gave it a context I hadn’t experienced before. I learned a lot while at the same time enjoying the the time.
Wonderful
A moving and enriched experience learning about Westminster Abbey, thank you.
Splendid!
Frank Burgess is the very best tour guide for two of our tours! Westminster Abbey is so beautiful and historic.
There’s so much to see...
There’s so much to see that having a guide was a must.. Our guide did an excellent job navigating the site in a fun and educational way.
