With vast experience under his belt Derek will be versatile in his delivery and cater for all knowledge and whiskey experience levels. The experience carries 6 whiskies where you are guided through by a whiskey professional. The only thing separating the whiskey on offer will be the age, rarity or style of the whiskey. A welcome drink in the form of a whiskey cocktail as well as drinking water will be provided. By remaining in the comfort of the traditional pub you can really become acquainted with the beautiful drinks on your tasting mat and engage fully with your host and whiskey professional Derek. Derek will be happy to answer any questions and will love to interact about Irish pub culture and traditions-His other passion. No other whiskey experience immerses the guest as we do here at EIW

Amazing experience (even for non-Whiskey drinkers!)

I‘m not a big Whiskey drinker at all, but our tasting experience (+ Irish coffee making class!) was really amazing. Super entertaining story-telling and valuable bottles from his personal collection. Would love to learn more next time I’m in Dublin and would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in the history and making of Whiskey!😍

No show - don’t waste your time

Operator was a no show with no communications at all- waste of time, expecting a refund - bar host said he was double booked with another tour at another time at another bar

Return Customers LOVE Extraordinary Private Tasting

Can't say enough about Derek and his fantastic Irish Whiskey Tasting experience. We were return customers, as my husband and I did the Irish Coffee Making class during our visit in Jan '24. This time we brought at group of friends for our own private tasting in the exclusive Michael Collins room at the iconic Bank Bar and saying it did not disappoint is a HUGE understatement. Derek is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and very entertaining. The whiskies were diverse and delicious. We will be back again for certain.

Top shelf, would recommend.

Derek was like the gandalf of whiskey, he know everything, even the silly questions I asked, looks sharp knows what he is talking about and a legend of a bloke, I'm now a whiskey drinker and so is Tim.
