Itinerary
In the center of the cultural district, we'll find all kinds of unique destinations! The city hosts artists and craftspeople in the pop-up shops at Director Park and along SW Morrison Street, and we will visit our favorites and chat about the buildings where they are hosted
Sample tea (or coffee) and art and crafts from Japanese artisans at the wonderful cafe by the same family who keeps the tea house at the famed Japanese Garden
One of the many stops we may visit is a twist on Japanese food. We'll order a few of our favorites to sample.
The extraordinary Powell's City of Books is a must-see destination for visitors and locals alike. We'll introduce you to the famed bookstore and give you time for wandering.
The food carts at the Midtown Beer Garden are ever-changing, and we will visit a few of our favorites and buy food to sample and share
We will walk through the financial district and introduce you to some of our favorite secret spots in the Pioneer District as well
Our favorite chocolate shop makes a fitting end to our tour. We'll sample some of the city's -- and the world's -- best chocolate with our experts.

Traveler reviews
Wish it was inclusive
Tours should be free of politics. Yet, instead of a lovely day biking around Portland with my family, I was subjected to a tour guide covered head to toe in “Free Palestine” symbols. As a Jewish woman who spent much of her childhood in Israel, this ruined the tour before it even began. The message was that I wasn’t welcome simply because of who I was born as. It was disappointing to be subjected to discrimination in a city that is known for being inclusive.
Great tour!!
This was a great tour, the food choices were fantastic. Stuffed and couldn’t eat another bite by the end. Highly recommend this tour. It was also an amazing way to get familiar with Portland
Beautiful Falls
Carrie was our tour guide and she was AMAZING!! She was very informative and super sweet. Get ready to walk and hike honey! It’s no joke but it’s soooo worth it! Absolutely beautiful scenery!!
Generous portions of foods from many cultures.
The most generous and delicious delicacies ever on a food tour!! We have been on dozens of walking food tours. Kelly and Nancy were knowledgeable, kind, and fun sharing what they love about Portland. Still...... shocked about the amount of food. Plus unique foods, specific for the city and a large variety of cultures. They even had food options for my gluten and dairy sensitive husband. This is a food tour that you probably should not eat anything the morning of, go hungry. We did not receive 2"x2" portions of sandwiches, crepes, empanadas.... but meal size. Not just one small square of chocolate to finish the tour, but multiple varieties. We will be returning for this tour on our next Oregon visit and recommending to everyone we know. I did not feel it was a waste of money for the food. There was not as much history as some tours, but Portland is not that old in comparison to the other food tours we have had on the east coast. Learned a lot about the city and they gave recommendations for other establishments to visit. BRAVO!!
