Pompeii is a bucket list experience.
Pompeii is a wonderful experience and a must visit if travelling to Pompeii. A lot of time was wasted waiting for others to arrive and could have been managed more efficiently. It would not be a problem if there was somewhere to dir and wait rather than standing in hot western.

Not good during the summer
Well Europe in the summer is becoming impossible because of the heat. Nonetheless, the tour pick up was late, leading to confusion. Once in Pompeii, there was waiting both before and after the tour totaling more than an hour. While the tour guide was knowledgeable, she seemed not to care about the group baking in 97 degree direct sun, rather than searching for shady areas (which were available but not where she gathered people). Also, there was no guidance before the tour, such as being water and an umbrella for heat. Maybe 30 minutes of interesting info for 3.5 hours of standing in the heat.
Pompeii good but tour not well organised at all
We were picked up on time from outside shop and taken to Pompeii. We were told the guide wasn't there yet, so to come back in 20 mins - this was outside of the walls of Pompeii. We went back and he still wasn't there. He arrived shortly after but said he couldn't start the tour until the organisers who had picked us up said we could start. We were overall about an hour waiting in the sun outside of Pompeii with little explanation. Guide was knowledgeable but he seemed irritated by some people repeating questions or not having fully understood - the earpiece we had to listen to wasn't great quality so it was difficult to fully hear. We got lost from the group twice and he didn't notice as there were far too many people on the tour. Getting lost occurred if we were towards the back of the group and we got to a junction and hard to know what way he had turned - others around us were similarly getting confused. I give it 3 as Pompeii was great to see, but the organisation of the tour itself was very much lacking.
Not recommended at all.
Terrible, we didn't even see half of the park, they took us around very quickly. We had to wait more than half an hour to enter and upon leaving they rushed us out very quickly and once outside, another 30-minute wait to return. They told us we would return much sooner, honestly, a deception. I do not recommend it at all, look for another alternative.
