Spectacular Tour!

The tour was just wonderful. The meeting point was convenient and well explained. Our driver Mac shared local points of interest, and their knowledge of the flora and fauna. Taking the tour allowed everyone in our family to enjoy the scenery. We were released from worries about driving mountain roads or finding parking at each stop. The allotted time at each stop was perfect. The bus is very clean and comfortable. Mac expressed concern for everyone’s health and safety I’d recommend taking this trip

Great Tour and Guide, but Too Much Rushing

Overall, this is a very comprehensive tour, and our guide, Mac, was attentive, friendly, and always made sure everyone in the group was doing well. However, I think the itinerary is a little too ambitious. The distances between the different stops are considerable, so you end up rushing everywhere instead of having enough time to truly enjoy each attraction. At Garden of the Gods, for example, you only get one hour, even though the park is quite large. To explore it properly, I think you would need at least two hours, or an hour and a half at the very minimum. The lunch stop is actually where you get the most free time — about 1 hour and 15 minutes — to explore the lovely little town. However, by the time you find somewhere to eat, order your food, and finish your meal, you are left with less than half an hour to rush through the shops. Then you head to Pikes Peak, where the views are absolutely extraordinary, but you only get about 30 minutes at the top! There is a small museum, a café, a souvenir shop, and of course the incredible scenery to enjoy. I understand that getting up and down the mountain takes a significant amount of time, but with only half an hour, you basically have to rush to use the restroom, take a few pictures, quickly buy something, and leave. Even with all this rushing, the entire tour took us 9 hours! We left at 10:00 a.m. and didn't get back to Union Station until 7:00 p.m. Again, I want to emphasize that this was not an issue with our guide. Mac did a great job. I simply think the tour could start earlier so that guests have more time to enjoy each location, or perhaps the itinerary could be divided into separate tours instead of trying to fit so much into a single day. In the end, you spend approximately 6 hours in the van and only 3 hours actually enjoying the destinations. That said, it is still a good option if you don't have a rental car and want to see several different places in just one day.

Awesome scenery!

Great trip from a very informative guide. I loved all the little geology lessons thrown in (being a science teacher myself). We spent just the right amount of time at each stop. Truly an awesome experience!

Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak experience.

I had a wonderful time at the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. My Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and truly took an interest in explaining the history of the environment and explaining the sights.
