Received cancellation notice but tour wasn't cancelled so we missed it

Our family were really looking forward to this trip. The day before we were due to go we received a cancellation email for the tour. We contacted them via the app and were told again it was cancelled. There were bad storms expected so we thought that was why. We arranged a local tour to do some of the things on this tour adding an extra expense to us. Then on the day we found out the tour was actually on but we weren't back in time to go on it so we were called a no show and lost our money. Not happy with viator or the tour company about this confusion, us missing the tour we were so excited about and our lost money. Be careful.

Horrible experience

Bad experience, the pilot of the boat stopped for us to take a photo once and with a lot of boat in the background of the photo. When we were going back he decided to continue the tour to see planctons but we wanted to go away because it was already night and cold, so we had to change boat in the middle of the sea and join another staff who was going back. Pilot still debochado

Not worth the money

There was information that drinking water and fruits are included. But no drinking water was provided! Maya beach - tourist trap and that is where we spend most of the time. You are not allowed to swim there and it is crowded. Snorkling is not as expected - bad value for money. And just 30-40 min in total of snorkeling. And one more thing - you are asked to meet in McDonalds. And then they take you to sort of long boats pier and you have to wait 30 min unfer the sun as there are no shades anywhere. I had similar activity 4 years ago and it was totally different experience.

At best, average

There was nothing particularly wrong with this trip, however it did not impress as much as I thought visiting the islands would. The tour felt very rushed; we were constantly in and out of the boat with little time to relax and enjoy the scenery. We were only given one bottle of water for the entire trip (6 hours) which wasn’t sufficient. Had we known, we would have bought our own but it did say that water would be provided. The tour guides were lovely and friendly but not particularly informative (we learnt little to no information about where we were actually visiting). The longboats were very crammed with about 16 people in each boat. It felt difficult to move around the boat with grace and decorum, let alone be able to see the views. Unfortunately, because the boat was so busy, it meant that lots of passengers had real attitude problems and made the boat an unpleasant place to be. In future, I would definitely pay extra for a private tour of the islands.

Wouldn't book again.

My boat crew was beyond rude to everyone. They were constantly yelling at one another or other boats and guests. We were never able to move fast enough to make them happy and when I asked the lady to clarify the pick up location she shooed me and yelled I don't understand then yelled at another thai lady. Everywhere we stopped was CRAMMED full of people. Not relaxing or enjoyable.
