Traveler reviews
NOT a snorkelling tour
For a 9 hour “snorkelling tour” I was incredibly disappointed with the 30 minutes we actually got. If you like taking instagram photos and being surrounded by tourists this is the tour for you. After a loud and uncomfortable hour in the boat you will reach your first destination, an island with nothing to do except take photos and swim in the shallow people soup swimming area. The second destination (Maya bay) is the same experience, except you cant even swim :( . The ocean was too rough so the tour was shortened - but not too rough apparently to leave the boat rolling in the huge waves while we waited for the sun to set. We couldn’t even see the sunset because the boat was facing the wrong way the whole time. The first 5 hours felt like a complete waste of time, and for the final 2 hours I was tempted to jump overboard and swim back out of boredom and frustration. The short snorkelling session was fine, nothing amazing.
Would happily do this again
Starting from Phi Phi made the tour easy, and the longtail boat added a local touch. Maya Bay was stunning, but simply cruising around the islands was just as enjoyable.
Tourist trap and bad service
They denied boarding to one of us traveling with a baby and refuse to refund the ticket. They said it was because of the wind but weather was calm. Nowhere on the description disallow traveling with a baby
Swimming and snorkeling by long tail
My wife and I had a great time. Lots of opportunities to swim and snorkel. We were lucky to get good weather, and thanks to the crew, we all had an enjoyable time
Very Little Actual Snorkeling
Very little actual snorkeling, only a little over an hour on the half day afternoon trip. Very disorganized tour, had to wait a long time in the heat/sun to load the boat. It was never really a “small group,” as there were several other boats with “small groups” at the same stops. Highlight was the plankton at night.
