Itinerary
The first stop is the interpretive center Carlos Ameghino Isthmus, where you'll learn about the flora, fauna and geology of the peninsula. Also, you'll enjoy the panoramic lookout point of Golfo Nuevo, San Jose and the Island of Birds. Don't forget to bring your camera for unforgettable photo opportunities!
Once in the town of Puerto Piramides, the ones who chose the whale watching navigation will get on the boat. You will be guided by our specialized and bilingual personnel, who will provide you with more information about the exclusive ecosystems of the coast and the sea, while you sail to meet the whales. Once you meet them, magic will start. The boat will stop the engines and silence will begin to reign, interrupted only by the sounds of the sea and the occasional bird. In this scenario, the whales will appear next to the boat and you will manage to live together in harmony in the same space for as long as they decide. It will be a unique moment where, if you are lucky, you will be able to see them very close.
The time has come to explore the famous Peninsula Valdes. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, the peninsula is renowned for its rich marine life and diverse terrestrial ecosystems. On the road, look out for some of the wild Argentinean land animals, including guanacos, rheas, foxes, maras (Patagonian hare), armadillos, and skunks.
Depending on the season, weather and the tides, you'll be visiting the following places in a different order or combined with other stops: Caleta Valdes, Punta Norte and Punta Cantor to observe elephant seals, penguins and sea lions. At sunset, you'll arrive back at Puerto Madryn and conclude the tour.

Traveler reviews
Majestic Southern Right Whales Ahoy!
Magical chance to see these amazing creatures close up. Nothing is guaranteed - our guide couldn't find anywhere with orcas to view on our day despite his best efforts. But in addition to whale cows and their calves, we saw sea lions, elephant seals and Magellan penguins. Like so many expeditions in Patagonia, it's a long distance across bumpy roads and a long day - but it's one you'll never forget. Excellent driver and guide.
It's a great experience...
It is a great experience but requires a lot of time to travel along the bad roads in the area. Still worth it.
It's worth it
Fantastic tour divided into 2. First the viewing of whales, which is a magnificent moment and then the walk through the peninsula of Valdes that was excellent. The guide was excellent
An Amazing Experience! 100% Would Recommend!
This was an incredible way to see a large expanse of land. Our tour guide was incredibly informational and gave us lots of background on the history, environment and animals in the reserve. We frequently stopped to get photos and observe the animals! We did the whale watching which was amazing. We got so close to so many of these beautiful animals. At first we were concerned about the lack of English translations while on the boat as not everything was being fully translated. However our tour guide came over and translated, as well as one of the guides on the boat. Everyone was extremely knowledgeable about the whales. They all took the time to educate us about the whales, the history of the ocean and Patagonia. I could not recommend the whale watching enough. All in all, this was a highlight of our time in Argentina. Everyone was communicative, engaged and made the trip!
