Enriching History Tour - Highly Recommended

Excellent tour. I took my two daughters last week and Dan was an excellent guide, giving us a first-hand account of his experiences during the Troubles, as well as his perspective on the situation today. We had a lively debate about both the history and the current climate, and although we didn’t agree on everything, I found the discussion incredibly interesting and enriching. Dan welcomed questions, was open to different perspectives and was not afraid to tackle difficult and sometimes contentious subjects head-on. It was a rare opportunity to have such an open and engaging conversation with someone with first-hand experience of the Troubles, and I really appreciated his willingness to share his perspective. I would highly recommend the tour, particularly to anyone who wants to learn about the Troubles through personal experience as well as history. We’ll come back next year for part II!

Excellent, insightful tour guide, 10/10 customer experience.

Dan was a truly excellent tour guide who brought home both side of the political history of the Troubles on our trip today. He presented the history so well with a real insight for the events at the time with personal anecdotes . His knowledge and the manner in which he communicated this could not be faulted. His interpersonal skills are superb and he used these to great benefit. He welcomed all our questions which were willingly answered and even acted as the tour photographer for us. We felt privileged to be given such a perspective to living through the Troubles. We hope he visits Liverpool with his family, of whom he is so proud, so we may share our history with him. 10/10 just the best decision we made during our visit to Belfast.

Peace wall taxi tour

My family and I have just experienced what can only be described as a must see tour, hosted by Dan. Our tour guide, in spite of experiencing the troubles himself, gave us an unbiased understanding of the history and mindset of the two sides of the conflict. He was also open to answering any awkward questions we may have had. I highly recommend this experience.

A must do tour with Dan

We had a fantastic Black Cab tour of Belfast with Dan. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided a fascinating, personalised overview of Belfast’s history and the events that have shaped the city. What really stood out was Dan’s ability to present the history in a balanced and unbiased way, giving us a much deeper understanding of the different perspectives and experiences of the area. He tailored the tour to our interests and was happy to answer all our questions along the way. Dan was friendly, engaging and clearly passionate about sharing Belfast’s story. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend Dan to anyone wanting to understand Belfast beyond the usual tourist attractions.

Peace wall talk

We spent 2hrs with Dan who was our brilliant tour guide for the peace wall talk. It went by so fast as it was so interesting to listen to the history and his personal experiences of the conflicts in Ireland. Definitely recommended.
