Great day - will never look at parmesan cheese the same way again
Very interesting tour of a working parmesan cheese dairy and also a Parma ham producer. We travelled by mini-bus but joined with others from the same company for the visits so there were more than a mini-bus full going around together at the cheese factory though fewer at the ham. The use of personal amplifiers meant you could still hear the guide even over the factory noise. Paolo was a very interesting guide and very generous with the tastings and accompanying local wines. Both producers sold their products at very reasonable prices
Both ham and cheese were great experiences
The cheese and ham experiences were very interesting. The only two improvements they could make is 1) talk to people while in the van. Tell us about the area and 2) there were too many people shuffling through the cheese factory. Make tours smaller and spread out so we can see each step clearly. Fabiola was a very knowledgeable tour guide
