Very nice stay in an area rich in biodiversity

Our stay at the Pousada Mutum was wonderful. Although not on the Transpantaneira, we had incredibly many great nature experiences. Over 90 bird species and more than 10 mammals in 4 days... The people of Mutum were incredibly nice to us and appreciated nature. The tours were varied - boat, truck, on foot, on horseback... - and there was always something new to see; also the destruction the Pantanal is experiencing... (this is also bad for the future of tourism there!!). The room - a small Cabin - was a homely accommodation. The food delicious and varied. The pool in the heat a see welcome change. There were wild birds and other animals all over the property. We had a really hard time saying goodbye.
