Itinerary
Explore the archaeological site of Paestum, the best-preserved Graeco-Roman city, on a two-hour walking tour with a licensed archaeological guide.
The Temple of Hera II in Paestum (formerly Poseidonia), is earlier and is still often referred to as the 'Temple of Poseidon' or 'Temple of Neptunus' due to a misidentification. This temple is the more northern and recent of the two Hera temples in Paestum.
The Temple of Athena, also known as the Temple of Ceres (c. 500 BC), is a Greek temple located in Paestum, situated near the so-called Basilica, which is considerably larger than it.
Explore the captivating National Archaeological Museum, home to a rich collection of local Greek artworks dating back to the 7th century BC. The unquestionable highlight of the museum in Paestum are the frescoes found in the 'Tomb of the Diver'.

Traveler reviews
Paestum with family
We had a fantastic visit of Paestum ! Thank you for the very live and interesting explainations which kept us and our kids (8 and 10 yo) captivated!
Excellent guide.
Mario, our escort, was professional, kind, and friendly, in addition to having an in-depth knowledge of the history of Posidonia/Paestum. Highly recommended! Furthermore, unfortunately, with the sweltering heat, the stops were always well organized in shaded areas.
Beautiful experience.
Very well organized; we spent the coolest moment during the visit, and when it was extremely hot, we went inside the museum. Our guide, Mario, was helpful and kind; his knowledge is very thorough, he is friendly and truly highly recommended.
Fantastic experience
Maria, the guide, is very well-prepared and with anecdotes and many curiosities made this experience unique. Thank you
