Our Tour Guide Hanna was amazing.
Fascinating history of Oxford in 3 hours
A great way to hear about the history of Oxford if your time there is limited. We didn’t even have to walk all over the city- it was all centred around only a short distance from where we started. We were lucky enough to be there on graduation day so there was a great buzz around the place. Not that we needed it because our Guide - Sam Dade was soooo informative , not only about the history of the different colleges but an inside look on the shenanigans & traditions that take place within- mostly bizarre!!. His knowledge of history & dates throughout the centuries was indeed impressive. The tour as is the custom is “free” but that amount of knowledge & ability to project I hope , was well rewarded by those on the tour when it came to tipping him. Interesting, Fun, and Comprehensive Intro to Oxford
Our tour with Elena was an interesting, fun, and comprehensive introduction to Oxford; I highly recommend it. As a recent alum with a history PhD, Elena brought the history of the university and the city to light with both great stories and real insights about its early growth as well as how things work today. We finished the tour with a deep appreciation of the history and significance of this important city.
