Are you interested in an overnight Rio Grande rafting trip, but not willing to give up two entire days of your vacation? We have just the trip for you! You'll meet us at our headquarters at 2p.m. and we will float the scenic Orilla Verde Section of the Rio Grande with an opportunity to catch the gorgeous evening light on the river that most do not have the pleasure of experiencing.
As we settle into our riverside camp, you might opt for an evening hike while we prepare you a meal that will impress your taste buds and leave you ready for stories around the fire. The morning will begin with a hearty breakfast that will fill you up for the day of rapids ahead on the popular class III Racecourse section. We'll tackle rapids with names like The Maze, Eye of the Needle, Big Rock and the infamous Souse Hole. We will stop mid way for lunch and swimming and finish up in time to have you back at our headquarters at 2 p.m.

- 3 delicious and nutritious meals
- Shuttle to and from the river in our comfortable vans
- Type V, US Coast Guard approved flotation devices (lifejackets)
- Wetsuits and splash jackets available; helmets provided for Class 3 rapids and above!
- You can use our camping gear! (sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent to share)
- Gratuities
- Sunscreen, water shoes, hat or sunglasses - available for purchases
- Transportation to and from meeting location described in your confirmation email
Important information
Know before you book
- Minimum age: 6 years old
- Online reservations require a 10% deposit at the time of booking.
- This trip meets at our private, Rio Grande Headquarters which is conveniently located 1 hour north of Santa Fe and 30 min. south of Taos.
- For our Rio Grande overnight trips and for groups of more than 18 participants, no refunds are offered inside of 14 days before your trip date
- It is recommended but not mandatory that all our guests know how to swim.
Know before you go
- There is no experience required for any of our river trips. However, we encourage experience for our more difficult, Taos Box and Razorblades trips. Please feel free to call us with any concerns or questions about appropriate trips for your group.
- Unfortunately, we cannot bring our furry friends on our river trips. We do not have a secure area to keep your dog at our headquarters.
- We run our river trips rain or shine.
- You must meet us at the appropriate meeting location described in your confirmation email.
- We have packing lists for you to review for your trip!
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 14 days before the activity starts
For our Rio Grande overnight trips and for groups of more than 18 participants, no refunds are offered inside of 14 days before your trip date. If you cancel outside of this time frame, you will be eligible for a full refund.
