Honfleur, Beuvron & Calvados: Private Day Trip from Bayeux
Set off from Bayeux on a private full-day tour that combines Normandy’s most charming harbor, picture-perfect villages and authentic Calvados tasting. With your own English-speaking driver‑guide and an air‑conditioned vehicle, enjoy a flexible itinerary, scenic country roads and a relaxed pace tailored to your interests.
Discover the Harbor Town of Honfleur
Your day usually begins in Honfleur, the postcard‑worthy port town at the mouth of the Seine. Stroll around the Vieux Bassin with its tall, narrow houses reflected in the water, explore cobbled lanes filled with art galleries and boutiques, and visit landmarks such as the wooden Sainte‑Catherine church. Your guide shares stories of Honfleur’s maritime past and the painters who made its changing light famous.
Stroll Beuvron-en-Auge, a Classic Norman Village
Continue into the Pays d’Auge countryside, known for apple orchards, green pastures and timber‑framed farmhouses. In Beuvron‑en‑Auge, one of France’s “most beautiful villages,” wander among half‑timbered façades, flower‑lined streets and traditional shops selling local specialties. This is the perfect setting for photos, a relaxed lunch or a coffee on a charming village square.
Visit a Calvados Estate and Enjoy a Tasting
In the afternoon, visit a local Calvados estate to discover how Normandy’s apples become cider and then Calvados. Tour the orchards or cellars, see the stills and oak barrels, and learn how apple varieties, distillation and aging shape the character of each spirit. A guided tasting lets you sample cider, Pommeau and Calvados, with tips on how to taste and how these drinks are enjoyed in Normandy.
Travel in Comfort on a Private, Flexible Tour
Throughout the day, your driver‑guide adjusts the pace and small detours to match your preferences, whether you want more time shopping in Honfleur, lingering in Beuvron‑en‑Auge or extending the tasting at the distillery. With hotel pickup and drop‑off in Bayeux and a private vehicle reserved just for your party, this Honfleur, Beuvron & Calvados tour offers a comfortable, gourmet introduction to the landscapes, villages and flavors of Normandy.

Reviews
We had a very fun day with Matt to Mont Saint-Mitchel. Matt is an excellent tour guide & he cared for his clients very much. He's an on time person. We learned a lot about the history of Saint-Mitchel via Matt. He made sure we have enough time browsing this beautiful UNESCO. We definitely recommend friends & family this tour. Thank you Matt
Pascal was, above all, a smiling whirlwind of energy from the very start — bursting with knowledge, passion, and just the right amount of dramatic flair. He painted the horror of the Omaha Beach invasion so vividly that we could practically hear the chaos, then marched us through the bunkers at Pointe du Hoc like we were on a mission ourselves. And before we even caught our breath, he had already catapulted us back to Bayeux at invasion speed. A legend in tour‑guide form. Thanks from Croatian Team😉
Our Normandy D-Day tour was well worth it and we so enjoyed our tour guide Matt. He made the tour engaging, entertaining and informative. The tour was just the right size and a half day was perfect for us. It would have been much harder to get around to the sites and understand each without the information that Matt was constantly sharing. There was hardly a time that Matt was not telling us what/how/when of what we were looking at. Thanks Matt!
