Itinerary
Start your adventure with an early morning departure from Paris by comfortable bus. Get ready for a day filled with history, culture, and stunning landscapes as you travel across the picturesque countryside of Northern France.
Arrive at Omaha Beach, one of the key sites of the D-Day landings. Exploring this historic landmark with your guide, who will bring the events of June 6, 1944, to life. As you walk along the sands, you’ll see commemorative sculptures that pay tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for freedom. The guide will offer an overview of the significance of Omaha Beach and the part it played in the liberation of Europe during World War II.
Pointe du Hoc is a cliff on the coast of Normandy, France, that was a key strategic point during D-Day in World War II. It lies between Omaha and Utah beaches, and was fortified by the Germans with bunkers and heavy artillery guns.
After a moving experience at Omaha Beach, the journey continues as you head toward Mont Saint-Michel, a place steeped in history and medieval beauty.
Upon arrival at Mont Saint-Michel, you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch and explore the area. We highly recommend dining at La Salicorne restaurant in La Caserne to try their renowned soufflé omelet, a delicious local specialty. This is the perfect moment to relax, take in the unique atmosphere of the island, and prepare for the next part of your visit.
After lunch, immerse yourself in the magic of Mont Saint-Michel as you explore its iconic abbey ( if you choose the option with entrance to the abbey ). A marvel of Gothic architecture and spirituality, this UNESCO World Heritage site has been a place of pilgrimage since the 8th century. Wander through the abbey's stunning halls and chapels, and marvel at the sweeping views of the tidal flats from its terraces. You’ll also have time to stroll the quaint, medieval streets that wind around the abbey, discovering hidden gems and soaking up the timeless charm of this remarkable island.
Arrive back in Paris, concluding your unforgettable day tour to Omaha Beach and Mont Saint-Michel. With memories of historic landmarks, captivating stories, and stunning views, you’ll have had a taste of some of the best that France has to offer.

Traveler reviews
Worth the long day - amazing experience
10/10 Cristina was our guide and she was top-notch. I am so glad I booked this tour. I almost canceled because it was going to be such a long day - but it is worth it. A few things to note: The bus/motor coach was very clean and comfortable. You also had chargers built into the bus so you can charge your devices. I cant remember if it was USB /USB 3 - so bring both. Helps so you can save battery on your portable chargers. Huge plus for a 15 hour day. The stops are fast - but - you get to see a lot. So it's one of those things where if you want to see things - you will have a long day - but it will be a great day and you will get to see a lot. Unless you do an overnight trip or go on your own, this really is the way to go and get chauffeured around in a cost-effective way. I enjoyed all the sites. The day honestly goes by quick as you make multiple stops to sight-see on the way to Mont St Michel. Cristina was very knowledgeable about the sites. Cristina has a friendly demeanor and is incredibly knowledgeable. Her English and Spanish are both fluent. I am glad we had a bulk of the time at Mont St Michel. The stops were also appropriate as well for breaks along the 4.5 hour drive. If you want to see a lot of the sites in a cost-effective way and not make it a multi-day trip - this is the way to do it. This is the way to maximize seeing these sites without hotels, etc. I was super mindful of the long day for our guides, so be sure to tip them generously. I hope one day this tour includes the American Cemetery Tour. It's right there and I think that would be wonderful for tourists going forward. My recommendation would be to shave off some time at one of the beaches and allow for a quick stop there. I think that would really make it a truly "saw it all" experience. Note: if you are challenged with mobility - this may be a harder excursion for you. You will need to walk quick through some sites. So just know that if you have bad back/knees/hips/shoulders - there's a lot of walking here. Especially with tight timelines. Not a critique but just being honest about observations as we had some seniors in our group who really had a hard time getting around. Overall - this was a very memorable tour and day for me. It was such a great day - even tho it was 15 hours - I didn't want the day to end. You'll make memories and be in awe of all the wonderful things you'll see. Book it. It's worth it.
Well worth the long day
Wow wow wow what an amazing place. It is a very long day and most of it on the bus travelled on motorways. Take food with you as you only have a short stop at petrol station for toilet and snack. Omaha beach was a quick stop but very moving then the bunkers. Hero of the day was the driver what a long drive. You can eat at San st Michel but there is so much to see in limited time. The Abbey is breath taking and that’s not just all the stairs the views from the top are gorgeous.
More a bus ride, than tour
While Mont Saint-Michel was beautiful and Omaha beach was emotionally moving, this was not a tour - it was more of a bus ride. There was next to no commentary, historical context, or expertise of the area or sites shared. The tour guide was a Spanish speaker and his English was limited. Finally, the agenda and “what’s next” was never provided so we went from a quick restroom stop around 9am, until about 3pm without opportunities for food or drink. Knowing that at the rest stop, water and snacks would have been purchased to ease the long day. Note, this is a very long day with at last 7-8 hours on bus.
Normandy
The trip was good. Mont St. Michel was just an unbelievable site. Luis our tour guide took the time to show us the real Abby. He took us on streets that we would have never thought to take that gave us a much different perspective. Omaha Beach was not as good, as I thought there were still some remnants from the d-day landing still there. The site of where it all took place was still left me in awe.
Not a good WW2 tour
This is a very long bus ride, we left at 7 am and got back at 11:30 PM. The guide was a nice guy, but did not explain anything at the 2 WW2 sites. Once you got to the sites, there was a short time to explore before it was time to leave. There are many WW2 museums and monuments in the area, but we did not stop at them. If you are looking for a WW2 tour, do not select this one.
