Traveler reviews
Guide: excellent; tour: excellent; Bartender: Rude.
Jammer (I believe is her name, the bartender, identifiable by her tattoos) was snarky. I paid for our drinks ($10), gave her $20, and said she could keep the rest as a tip (a standard practice for everyone in service, aside from her, apparently), because she said, "You can do it [put the tip in the tip jar]." This surprised me a little, as she had been very curt with a group of older ladies next to us earlier in the tour. Patrick, the guide, was excellent and so friendly that his cheerfulness almost (and I mean almost***) supersedes Jammer's dismissiveness.
Great time
Our tour guide Patrick was great along with all the crew members
Afternoon cruise of Newport
It was a great tour of Newport from the water. The guide was full of great information and was very funny. The free Dells was an added bonus.
Mixed experience
Ride was nice, guide focused too much on the wealth in Newport which is obvious, more about the history and less about much everything costs
Loved it
Excellent tour! Funny and informative guide, fantastic views of historic mansions and yacht clubs. Plenty of interesting boats to see along the way, including super yachts and a number of America's Cup winning sailboats.
