Itinerary
The tour starts and ends here, and for some options there is a brief tour of Battery Park & pre-ferry orientation to make the most of your time on Ellis Island - especially if choosing the option with Self-Guided Audio Tours
Go through TSA and board the ferry to Liberty Island. If the Standard Ticket or Pre-FGerry tour options were chosen, you pick up your multilingual audio guide for Liberty Island at the kiosk once you get off the ferry & spend time touring the island with the audio guide. If guided tour options were chosen, the guide will give you a guided tour of the island in English, show you the best spots to take photos of the Statue of Liberty and give you some free time to explore.
Take close-up photos of the Statue of Liberty and learn about its history. (Paid Admission is for Liberty Island - not access to the crown or pedestal)
Visit the new Statue of Liberty Museum which holds the original torch and learn more about the building of the monument and its history. With the Guided Tour options - this portion is self-guided as guided tours are not allowed in the Museum.
Take the ferry to Ellis Island and enjoy the grounds of Ellis Island and visit the Wall of Hero's. Look to see if you can discover your families name. This portion is guided on the guided tour options.
Spend time at the Museum and visit the massive Great Hall where immigrants were processed. If the Standard Ticket of Pre-Ferry tour options were chosen, you pick up your Multilingual Audio Guide for the Museum as you enter the Museum. If a guided tour option was chosen, your guide cannot go inside the Museum with you, but will brief you on where to go once inside.
On the opton which includes 9/11 Tour you get a brief guided tour of Wall Street including the Charging Bull, Federal Hall & the New York Stock Exchange
On the opton which includes 9/11 Tour you get a guided tour of Ground Zero that includes the Memorial Pools and the Survivor Tree

Traveler reviews
Very rushed
You do not get a lot of time at either the Statue of Liberty or Ellis island. The guide was knowledgeable but barely had time to see anything. Definitely not enough time to go through either museum. Would go on my own next time.
Great tour guide but with warning about 911 Museum
Nina was fantastic. She provided much more information than we could have acquired ourselves. However, for travelers that want to visit the 911 Museum, they need to make sure they have the correct package. This package did not include that museum
An enjoyable experience
It was an informative, engaging, and enjoyable tour. Would certainly recommend it for an introduction to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island. Our guide, Fabreze, was great.0
