Enjoyed but needed more

It was good but I wanted more stories maybe be different than the ghost tours which were all around us talking about the same places but just using different words. I am glad we did it because it gave us some history and we got to walk around areas we would not have gone on our own. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we liked him. We are good with only doing it once though.

The Haunted Tarp Tour of 2026

If you're hoping to spend nearly half your evening staring at a construction tarp while listening to a single story, this is the tour for you. If you're hoping to actually walk the French Quarter and experience its haunted history, I'd look elsewhere.

Great experience

We had a wonderful time hearing about the history of New Orleans. Luis was a magnificent tour guide explaining every small detail. I highly recommend taking this tour if you love true crime and exploring the history of this amazing town.

Excellent experience

Absolutely awesome tour and experience with Luis. We were fortunate to have the tour with just my wife and I along with the guide. He did an excellent job explaining and detailing the stories and history. Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone that visits New Orleans

It was cool…BUT

Our tour guide Monde was really knowledgeable, or at least seemed to be. She is a great orator but the stories were a bit long. Myself and most in my party wanted the cool details without all the backstory if that makes sense. You lost sight of each stop because it was Iike just get to the point. Also to no fault of hers, the tour meetup spot should be at the first stop instead of having people walk two blocks to start. But like I said that’s not her fault, she was great and was really concerned for the tour safety and making sure she was aware of things around us that could pose a problem. All in all the tour was cool but there is so many better other stories of horrible crime and ghost stories in New Orleans, this was rated G. It’s required to be 16 and up but it really could be for 10 year olds.
