Itinerary
Pass by: City Park is as magical and unique as the city of New Orleans. The 1,300-acre outdoor oasis has enchanted New Orleanians since 1854, making it one of the nation’s oldest urban parks. Each year, millions of visitors stroll under the same historic oaks and picturesque moss canopies that served as the backdrop for dances, concerts and even gentlemanly duels or “affaires d’honneur” for generations.
Founded in 1865 by the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana Free and Accepted Masons, the Masonic Cemetery expresses a character distinct from the Catholic cemeteries that dominate the city. It is known for its many unusual, elaborate tombs, a reputation due in part to the cemetery’s communal nature: members of lodges pooled resources to purchase large group tombs. Occupying two oddly shaped city blocks, the cemetery is triangular in plan, with Conti Street bisecting it. The triangular footprint of the bordering streets overlaid with the cemetery’s angular internal walkways mimics the Masonic emblem of the square and compass. Cast-iron picket fences enclose its two distinct sections, while oak allées line its northern and western edges. Tombs are compactly arranged in rows parallel to Bienville Street, with a wide, paved promenade cutting through the center to provide access to smaller walkways between rows.

A total waste of money!
This was not a tour but merely a noisy bus ride to two cemeteries where we were dropped off to explore on our own followed by a long restroom break at a random restaurant. Zero history/stories shared. Take a different tour! I have been to many good tours in Nola, and this one was a huge disappointment.
Roy was an AWESOME tour guide!
Roy was EXCELLENT! He played awesome music, was extremely knowledgeable and had a great attitude. He was somehow able to control a bus full of rowdy drunken tourists and make sure everyone had a fun time. Highly recommend.
Cemetary tour with Henry
We took a taxi to the meeting spot and there was roadwork being done so we got dropped off behind it. Tour guide brought us to the 1st Cemetary and was very unclear about what we were doing. Showed us a few sites……I had a really hard time understanding him. We stopped for a potty break that lasted a LONG time!!!! The last Cemetary was very dark we got off the bus he showed us a grave with a bunch of cockroaches on it….with his flashlight! And then said to go roam around ourselves. It was dark out, my sister doesn’t own a smart phone and my flashlight on my phone wouldn’t work What the HELL!!! Maybe suggest people bring a flashlight or provide them. So basically we just stood by the bus. When he returned he drove us back to the pickup point, which was full of homeless people Henry needs to talk clearer and try giving more info or stories on his tours. That is why I would NOT recommend this tour to anyone I think with a clearer more informative guide this would have been great
Spooky and scary
This tour was one of our favourites, our driver, I’m sure his name was Roy was exceptional, he made it fun, interactive amongst other passengers and he also made it very spooky with his scary music. He used sage and Florida water on the bus for protection He totally brought this trip to life. We got some great spirit activity in the cemetery. He even had us all singing and dancing on the way home. Superb trip and worth every penny, if you are considering this trip, I would highly recommend it
Terrible, will never book again!
What experience, bus was full so we had no transportation even tho we booked on 28th.driver said trip was over booked and we could wait around another 2 hours. We ask for a refund. I was told I would receive the refund in 2 days.
