Traveler reviews
You need more than one day to see everything
I was only in New Orleans for two days and felt this was a place I definitely needed to see. I used the Hop-on Hop-off to get here and the stop was right across the street. The gentleman I got at the admission desk wasn't very friendly and just rattled numbers off like a machine. Regardless, I chose the General Admission with the Beyond Boundaries film which cost me $45. I think that's a little steep, especially when I knew I only had about 4 hours to spend, but whatever. They herd you to place where the film is shown, then you wait there for 10 or so minutes to be let into the actual theatre. The film was good and I really enjoyed the experience. I ate at one of the restaurants within the complex, it was good and the bartender was very friendly. Then I headed toward the area of the Pacific Theatre where my dad had been stationed. There is an overwhelming amount of history and displays to take in, so you definitely need more than one day to see everything. I've never been to any of the other WWII museums, so I can't compare it to anything else.
Thank you, all 60 million of you, for what you did to stop tyranny in its tracks.
What a wonderful place. We needed at least two days, but only booked one. So we plan to return. I was touched over and over again by the bravery of ordinary people, both soldiers and non-combatants.
Not To Be Missed!
Make sure you plan on more than one day to visit this extensive, fascinating and comprehensive museum! So many aspects of the war are presented in unique ways. We had to go back a second day. We have an even greater appreciation for what the Greatest Generation did.

Informative and Emotional Tribute
