Itinerary
Hotel pick-up at your downtown hotel lobby. We will then drive directly to the Mutianyu Great Wall, famous for its stunning natural scenery—lush forests and vibrant landscapes that transform beautifully with each season. Located in Huairou District, northeast of Beijing, this section is approximately 75 kilometers from the city center. As one of the best‑preserved and most picturesque sections of the Great Wall, Mutianyu historically served as a vital northern defensive barrier protecting the capital. You may take the cable car up to the wall. You can choose to hike along the wall to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, or take the cable car down or Chairlift up and toboggan ride for a fun and memorable descent. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Wonderful Introduction to China
Tony was fantastic! It was our first day (& time) in China and we couldn't have had a better experience. Tony picked us up from our lobby and took us to the Great Wall at Mutianyu. He talked to us about a lot of topics - not just the Wall. He answered all our questions and gave us really helpful information. Recommended tour for visiting the Great Wall of China
This was a very good tour to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Our tour guide Rita was excellent and very knowledgeable on the history of the wall and of China in general. As we are both over 60 we chose to use the chair lift both to go up and down and we arrived early enough to avoid the crowds which rapidly built up late in the day. Thoroughly recommended if you are planning to visit the Great Wall.
Best tour for a long time
Great trip that I can absolutely recommend. Our tour guide Lucy was spectacular. I never learned so much in such short time. She speaks perfectly english. She not only briefed us about the Great Wall but also told us a lot of interesting things about Beijing and China. Walking on the Mutianyu Great Wall was good fun. I took the cable car. If you want to do the full walk to tower 23 you need to be in good shape and have to like stairs. All others can enjoy the less steep parts. The views are great. Thanks to Lucy and a wonderful group for this great joint experience.
