Itinerary

The wide range of architectural symbols combined with fine arts and craftsmanship, structural layout and natural environment integrate harmoniously at Muangboran. Otherwise known as 'The Ancient City', Muangboran creates the kind of atmosphere that induces visitors to perceive and appreciate the continuity of history, cultures, religions, arts and customs of Thai people from dawn until now. Muangboran is an outdoor museum covering nearly 100 hectares (240 acres) in neighbouring Samut Prakan Province. Easily accessible as it is right near to the Kheha BTS Skytrain station, (less than 1 hour from central Bangkok), the history of Siam has been carefully reconstructed so that you can experience many eras from many parts of the kingdom conveniently located in the one Park. The periods of these ancient ruins and monuments cover the Dvaravati, Srivichai, Lopburi, Lanna, Lan Chang, Sukhothai, U-tong, Ayuthaya, Thonburi and Rattanakosin eras. Keeping in mind the size of this Park, there is a Tram running every hour (minimum 10 people at the starting point) except on Bank Holidays and Public Holidays. You will be delighted to know that this has been included in the price of this Ticket, as has use of a bicycle should you prefer pedal around. Golf Carts are available at your own expense (after presenting a Thai or International Driver's Licence). This Ticket price is special for foreigners only and kids under 6 years of age can enter for free.

Thailand in a few hours

It is very accessible from Bangkok via BTS Train and there are vehicles waiting near the train stop to take you to the Ancient City. The ride to Ancient City from the Kheha BTS station is only 10 baht per person, but we hired the whole vehicle for only 70 baht. Entrance fees are cheaper via Klook, but you may also buy your tickets onsite. Take the tram ride inside so you can see the whole 100 hectare site in about 1.5 hours. Seeing and feeding live elephants was a great experience.
