Incredible experience
This might be one of the coolest things I have ever done. We had the most perfect day for this experience (although a bit hot). Our guide was amazing and made sure we knew the history and fun facts before being sent off to explore. We had 1.5 hours on the top of the mountain to "choose our own adventure" before beginning our decent. My family was able to go to the highest peak as well as go through the caves! The views were insane and pictures do not come close to giving it justice. We loved all the different forms of transportation you get to experience on this trip and the boat ride was the most perfect way to end it. As someone who is not the biggest fan of heights, I had no problem and always felt so safe. I couldn't recommend this experience enough
A day exploring Lucerne by air, rail and water
We took this half day tour on a very warm day in Luzern (Lucerne). The tour uses multiple routes of transport, from a bus pick-up to a small gondola for four people, then a larger gondola to the summit, then a cogwheel train down the mountain. In between, you have some free time to have lunch, shop for souvenirs, or take photos from the mountain. Finally, there is a boat ride on a paddlewheel-type boat on Lake Luzern. Our tour guide was Yolanda; she was friendly, knowledgeable, and present at every stop, to ensure we had everything we needed. The tour was fast-moving, and the scenery was impressive - a perfect way to enjoy an unusually hot day in Switzerland. The only challenge was finding the bus terminal at the start. On a map, the bus station looks closer to the train station than it really is. Be sure to allow 15 minutes walking time to find it. Overall, a wonderful experience I would recommend for first-time visitors or returning visitors to Luzern.
Pilatus Journey
Majestic scenery, included all the modes of Swiss transportation. Doable for a variety of ranges of physical ability ( casual walker to experienced mountain hiker). Be prepared to take many panoramic photos.
Awesome experience!
It was a great tour but it was hard to find the group. Then we went with a group from Zurich instead of Luzern. The group was too large. We loved the experience though. Would have been better with a smaller group.
Mount Pikatus
Great trip. Was taken on various different forms of transport to get to the top of mountain Pilatus and back down again. Topped off with a sail around the lake. Beautiful, beautiful place to visit. Trip was worth every penny.
