River Drift Snorkelling If you love nature and the water, then this is the perfect tour for you! Within an ancient rainforest, step into the cool, crystal clear water and drift with the current as you explore life under the water’s surface. Watch fish dart in and around the river stones and keep your eyes out for the occasional turtle. This family friendly tour is a perfect way to stay cool in the hot tropics and is a great introduction to snorkelling before heading out to the reefs. Small children can journey down the river on large river sleds.

Backcountry Bliss Mosman River Drift Experience has long been a dream of mine and it didn’t disappoint! Our Guide Aidan shared his knowledge of everything rainforest and I learnt so much. Both Aidan and Tia ensured we felt the magic of this place, from the water ( so pure), the ancient trees, wildlife and connections to the First Nations people. Both my husband and I are 62, myself very cautious and my husband a pure adventurer. We both absolutely felt the magic of this place, loved the walk up river, the drifts with and without our sleds, all we learnt and the cuppa and biscuit at the end. If I could I would do this every week! Thank you Aidan, Thank you Tia! Fiona and Graham
This was a return tour for my husband and I. We enjoyed it so much last time on holiday 6yrs ago, we decided to do it again this holiday with our kids aged 11, 8 and 4years old. They LOVED it! Said it was hands-down the best thing they’ve ever done. They loved the walk through the Daintree, learning interesting information and of course the drifting. It was the most memorable tour for all of us, even beating the reef. Our guides were fantastic - informative, funny and so engaging with our boys. We really had the BEST time and cannot wait to return again when we next holiday up north again! Thanks so much for the unforgettable experience which was SO much fun!
Came for the GBR and got swept away by the Daintree…well not literally, of course! The gorge and Mossman river float was one of the highlights of our time in Australia and we give major kudos to the guides that educated us, provided insight, and ensured we had an overall great time. It’s an active day but anyone in reasonable shape can do it. Best for outdoors types who like a little adventure but it’s nothing extreme. You should enjoy being in and around water/swimming, etc…. That is a big part of the experience. The water was cool but comfortable, refreshing, crystal clear with just enough current to provide a relaxing float. We both agreed it was well worth the time and money. Extra bonus: they take plenty of photos so you don’t have to worry about risking your phone in any way if you don’t want to. Photos provided for you free of charge immediately after via up/download.
