Traveler reviews
DC monuments ticket with night tour with 10+ stops
Went on time at 7.15 pm on July 3, 2026, they could not find my booking and made me to wait for 25 minutes and finally found the booking at 7.40pm but the tour bus left, tour operators said that they sold the tickets to others and so no room in the bus.
Chaos
Very disappointed with this experience. There were so many construction areas and street closings near and around the monument locations and the bus had navigation issues because of constant redirections due to those obstacles. It was difficult to even walk to some of the stops due to gated off access points. Our tour guide was pleasant, but had difficulty with crowd control with respect to timing of stops and return location announcements - again due to constant changes in bus routes, etc. In addition, there were several passengers who were over 20 min late (one 40 min late) returning to the bus so the tour could not continue in a timely fashion - there were no alternate accommodations to retrieve late arrivers so everyone had to wait. The advertisement also offered cold water as an amenity but none was available. I would not recommend this tour without inquiring about how all the construction sites and road closures are being dealt with. When in the tour business, these things should be known and planned for.
Great views, guide could have been better.
Great tour. Everything looks so beautiful at night. The driver was great and knowledgeable. The guide, however was very difficult to understand. Most of the time my seat-mate and I didn’t know what he was saying. It was not just his accent. It was also his tone. It was hard to pay attention to.
Disaster
It started out ok but our tour guide and bus driver said they couldn’t make it to us to be picked up before our tour was over. We stood stranded for 45 mins and then the guide decided we would walk almost a mile to see if we could be picked up somewhere else. Then the tour guide woman decided she would tell everyone that “who voted for this guy anyways” like it was the administrations fault that we were stranded because they just closed the road. Very inappropriate. We had 2 small children and an elderly mother who had trouble walking. This trip was not a good experience.
0/10. Do NOT recommend !
We booked the trip on our final night in Washington DC to see the monuments at night. The trip started okay but early on, our tour guide began expressing her political views. Our tour guide was not much of a guide at all. She did not give clear directions at any point on the trip. The bus driver and the tour guide did not communicate well AT ALL! Very long story short at the end of the trip the guide lost contact with the driver. And we ended up standing on road that was closed. We walked aimlessly in the “heat of the night”. As we stood on a street corner about an hour later ….our family with 2 young children and a grandmother ended up calling an Uber for our safety and sanity. We wish the others well and hope they all made it back to their destinations without further complications.
