Good to know
- Tours start at 8:30 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. (depending on the season). Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time because check-in is required at our office before proceeding to the buses area.
- Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, though in rare cases may increase to 22. Transportation is shared with other groups.
- Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Montserrat and the winery may have more extreme temperatures than Barcelona—check the forecast and dress accordingly. Bring water, especially in summer.
- The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but service animals are allowed. For reduced mobility, contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.
- Infants (3 years or younger) join free of charge but are not provided with car seats or meals.
- Dietary restrictions or allergies are accommodated without advance notice.
- We often work with boutique, family-owned wineries. Due to logistics, the winery may vary from Oller del Mas.

Montserrat and wine tasting
Alberto and the other two tour guides we had for the day were outstanding. They gave a full historical overview of Montserrat and were very interesting and quite humorous! The driver was excellent and the wine portion of the tour was very good. We were given ample time to wander the area in Montserrat and enjoy a snack if we so chose. It was too hot to hike the trails and therefore we sat for an hour after shopping and having a cool drink and snack waiting for the tour bus to come so we could continue our tour. The wine tasting was interesting and they gave time to enjoy a glass of wine if we wanted to purchase one, and to view the wine making space. We again waited about 45 min after drinking our wine to continue on. Other than the wait times I would give this a five star rating as we enjoyed it immensely.

Our guide, Marcal, did a great job in giving us a history lesson and in adding in humor at various points.
A day of exploring Montserrat and a local winery done right
Etienne was wonderful from check in to the completion of our tour. He is friendly, approachable and professional. He made sure we all had a great time on our tour. Montserrat and the surrounding area should not be missed if you are in Barcelona. It’s just breathtaking. Total bonus was wine tasting in a thousand year old castle!
