Meh...
Went here for a quick stop on a rainy day. The way they advertise it I thought it would be more about life in the medieval times. Really, it's a museum on death in medieval times. Mostly rescued tombstones and crypts from the 1700s and 1800s with a few from the 1900s. I would skip as I don't feel it's worth the time.
Maybe skip Medieval Tour
Not much to see. History of some main families, burials and grave stones. The church is under construction. Maybe it’ll be better once Reno is complete
Lovely presentation but not much to see
There is no need to book, just turn up. The museum is well set up but very small. Not much to see really. It is interesting but not worth Tue money in my opinion.
No medieval or ghosts but cool guides
Excellent audio tour for such a small modern style non medieval building with little in it. Only joy was chatting to guide John who recommended his friend Joe who does ghost tours. Which we did later. Ok tour more history than scary. Great guys though. Thanks John and Joe . Cool guys
A good small museum, a good place to start you visit to Kilkenny
An interesting small museum. worth a visit. The self guided tour was well set out, but the descriptions at each stage were a little long winded and could have been mre precise
