Traveler reviews
Thought provoking and impressive
Our guide, Niambh, was superb. They thoughtfully separated us into two tours rather than one enormous one, so we had time to savour flavours and learn so much. A beautiful tour of a repurposed , historical building and delicious tasters of whiskey to boot
Unique Distillery in more ways than one!
We had a great tour of a distillery in a very unique, location in the old Crumlin Rd gaol. The restoration of the derelict gaol to first class distillery visitor centre is truly magnificent. Our guide, Owen, was well informed and presented everything from the story or the original business to the modern day very well. The whisky is great too. An excellent experience and highly recommended.
Hope to develope my 'buds to sense all those notes.
Learned alot about Irish whisky (Mcconnell s doesn't use the e). Even though I overstayed at Titanic Tour and was late, I still got the whole tour. Meave's and Ethan's enthusiasm was delightful.
Outstanding visit
Brilliant tour with Connor and cocktail masterclass with Sam. Our group really enjoyed it and they were exceptional at organising everything for us. We look forward to bringing more groups here in future.
Date night at McConnell's Distillery
I would highly recommend visiting the distillery for one of the tours. My husband and I were very impressed as soon as we stepped into the foyer, the decor is warm and inviting, we received a warm greeting from the staff. Conor our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I enjoyed the whisky tasting even though I'm not a big fan of the spirit, I think McConnells 5 year blend has converted me lol. It was great to learn about the distilling process and also the history of the building as it was a former jail. We will definitely be back to experience the afternoon tea and perhaps try one of the other tours that are on offer. An enjoyable night out right on our doorstep.
