Poor communication & half the sights were skipped
My daughter and I booked this Maui flight tour because the description promised that we would fly over six specific locations. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of what was advertised. On the day of our flight, it was raining. Before the flight, the pilot called and asked if we still wanted to proceed, explaining only that we would get wet walking from the car to the plane. At no point during that conversation did he tell us that weather conditions would prevent us from seeing half of the advertised attractions. During the flight, the pilot skipped three of the six locations that were specifically listed as part of the tour. We were understandably disappointed because those locations were a major reason we booked the experience in the first place. Had we been told beforehand that weather conditions would prevent us from seeing half of the advertised sights, we would have seriously reconsidered whether to proceed or reschedule. What made the experience even more frustrating was what happened afterward. When I contacted the company to request a partial refund due to only receiving roughly half of the advertised tour, the pilot claimed that he had informed us on the phone that the rain would prevent us from seeing several of the locations. That is simply not true. The only warning he gave was that we would get wet walking from the car to the aircraft. My request for a partial refund was declined. I understand that weather can impact flight tours, and safety should always come first. What I do not understand is failing to clearly communicate that customers will miss half of the advertised experience and then later claiming that such a warning was given when it was not. If you’re considering this tour, be aware that the advertised itinerary may not be delivered, and you may not receive transparent communication about significant changes to the experience. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company.
