Traveler reviews
Don't Miss Matera!
Our guide Giuseppe was absolutely wonderful. He knew everything there was to know about Matera: from history to art to city planning, and he was able to answer every question in depth. We were lucky to have a personal tour with him and he didn't rush us. Additionally, he recommended an excellent trattoria that the locals frequent.
excellent guided tour
wonderful tour, well explained and with very precise details. Very courteous driving. Always a bit complicated to find which agency it is, they are all in the same square. Visiting Matera with a guide is certainly worth the expense.
The nativity scene of 2021
Visiting Matera was a beautiful experience, thanks also to the walking tour of about two hours not tiring at all. Good girl who accompanied us around the city (if I remember correctly was called Vita) to explain everything to us thread and sign, good again and thanks. I highly recommend visiting Matera is really a spectacular city, it felt like walking in a nativity scene, beautiful city really.
