Glacier is great, but the drive is long

The company should have told guests where to park as street parking only allows up to two hours. Make sure you are there 20 minutes early as my van driver left before the scheduled departure time as I was trying to pay for street parking.

Matanuska Glacier: Not To Be Missed!

Stunning, beautiful vistas on the way and while at the glacier. Such a unique experience with amazingly easy access. Well guided! Bring snacks, gear provided if you don't have it (snow pants, hiking poles, mittens, etc.) Not all guides have Venmo, so carry some cash too if you want to tip.

Would Recommend

The driver was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The guides on the glacier were super chill.

Nice Early October Excursion

Had a fun tour operator (Dan, I think) and a great time on the glacier with Matanuska's guide, Jason (I believe). Our group lucked out on weather and the views on the way up (along with a few stops to pick up lunch and take pictures) made it all the better.

Matanuska Glacier…YES!!!

The tour was amazing. Gary was very knowledgeable and told us quite a lot about Alaska on our drive up to the glacier. The hike on the glacier was quite a memorable experience. Highly recommend the tour to everyone.
