Traveler reviews
Highly recommend
Highly recommend this for anyone interested in architecture and NYC history. Great for an overview of city highlights
A Must-Do in NYC
This is one of the favorite things we have done in New York City. The boat was very comfortable and clean. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us plenty of opportunities to ask questions. We saw and heard about parts of New York City that we don’t usually see on foot. Our only disappointment was that a bridge was not operating so that we could not make the entire trip around the island of Manhattan.
Manhattan Architecture Tour - Recommend
It was amazing to see Manhattan from the water - both from inside (when it rained a little) and outside (when the sun was out and the breeze was perfect). Our guide was excellent. She provided an outstanding overall picture of the city and how it has grown.
Wonderful afternoon on the water!
The day of our cruise did not seem auspicious- overcast, with rain predicted. Also, a drawbridge on the upper west side was closed, so our trip had to be modified. In spite of these handicaps, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The ship is very attractive, comfortable and clean. Our complimentary wine was delicious, and the service was just attentive enough. Everyone on the crew was very helpful- escorting us outside, taking our picture, watching out for our safety and comfort whenever appropriate. Above all, the narration was excellent! Fascinating, entertaining, she had so much knowledge about the city background and present day architecture! I wish I had taken note of her name so I could ask for her again! Because of the change in itinerary, we spent more time off of lower Manhattan, out as far as the Verrazano Bridge. The East River portion was fun, too, as we live very near the new esplanade bridge at 53rd St. it was also interesting to see the other side of Roosevelt Island for the first time, even though I’ve been a NewYorker for several decades. We couldn’t possibly absorb everything we heard on this trip, so we will absolutely book again. It’s a lovely way to spend a summer afternoon,
Nice tour
We went on a Wednesday morning. Our boat was pretty empty we spent a large part of the tour outside. Staff was super nice great service and an excellent tour guide. We were a bit dispppointed because a bridge was closed to it was a more abridged tour that required some backtracking. The dedicated table was a waste of money as people sat there after we went outside would not recommend spending money on it. It wasn’t a big deal just not worth the money less maybe it’s a inclement day Overall a great experience
