Magnolia Plantation Tour

There was a lot of confusion on what tour bus to get on. Then there were issues with folks rushing to get in line that caused some anxiety. Once there it was beautiful but it was extremely hot and muggy. The gift shop was a bit high on pricing as was the beverages on site. We paid over $4 for a single bottle of water!

Excellent Half Day Tour

Such a great tour! Perfect length. Our guide (Shawn) was so informative and friendly. The gardens are stunning and we saw plenty of wildlife. We finished the whole tour right before a big storm came in. We had a great group too. Definitely book this one!

Great presentation and...

Great presentation and very comfortable transportation. It would have been nice if the plantation workers would have been acknowledged for their contributions especially since it was so dangerous harvesting rice in water occupied by dangerous animals. The workers homes didn’t have any posted information for visitors wishing to see where they lived. For the sake of historical integrity for future generations of visitors there really should be accurate information on display and at least one home should represent how life really was for the unfortunate slaves who occupied them. Without truthful knowledge of the past for future generations to learn from, especially in our political climate, the gate is left open for history to repeat itself.

Very satisfied experience

Tour guide Greg was outstanding in his knowledge and customer service. All of the other guides were excellent as well. The only negative to the tour was the trolley's propane gas fumes, made me somewhat nauseated!

Great, relaxing experience

It was a wonderful day, very full. The tour driver was entertaining and knowledgeable. Magnolia Plantation is huge. The nature tour was good, along with the house tour. They have a small zoo and concessions with food and drinks, including alcohol. We were out 5 hours, including the ride to and fro. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it.
