Traveler reviews
Great tour!! Saw lots of wild and Marine life….but watch what you get as to what you booked!
When we booked this tour, it stated that it started at 10:15 and was 7 hours in length. When we arrived at the meeting point, we were informed that it didn’t start until 11:30 and would be over at 2:30 - less than 1/2 the time that we had allotted for our driver. When we got home, I did some research and found that 1 hour of the tour was supposed to take place in Puerto Lopez….which did not happen, and the 11:30 time was for when the boat was supposed to leave the pier……. I see now, reading some reviews that this has also happened to others, however, they were charged only $25 while we paid $95.00 each. That is a huge difference, and a,though we had a great time, with a wonderful guide and were not unhappy with our experience, that feeling that we were ripped off doesnt leave a great taste in my mouth……I feel that the tour operator should have at the very least, offered to refund a portion of our fee. We did, as I said have a lovely time!! Great guide, lots of fun on the boat!! Murky snorkelling, but that was expected due to the amount of traffic. Saw a variety of fish, blue footed boobys, sea lions and were offered to do extra water sports that were not shown in the itinerary. All in all a wonderful day aside from being shorter than expected.
Amazing experience
Had a wonderful time!! Got to see sea lions, blue footed booties, beautiful fish, star fish and sea urchins. It was so much fun! And great lunch and fresh fuit snacks. It was a great experience and the guides were wonderful. We did swimming, snorkeling and kayaking.
Best value trip we’ve had in 5 weeks in Ecuador
We came out of season for whaling so just did the snorkelling trip to Isla Salango. We saw blue footed boobies, frigate birds, tropic birds and sea lions. Beautiful colourful fish and starfish when snorkelling. Ours was only a three hour trip but excellent value for 25 dollars
