Magical Mourne Mountains Private Luxury Tour

This was our second private tour with Fergal — our first was through the Glens of Antrim in 2023 — and we booked it mainly to spend another day with this wonderful, knowledgeable, hospitable man whom we consider a friend. The Magical Mourne Mountains tour did not disappoint, and we had a wonderful day! Fergal arrived at our hotel to collect us, and off we went in his super comfy luxury car. Our first stop was Hillsborough Castle & Gardens, which was a gorgeous estate, and the residence of the Royal Family in NI. After our castle tour we stopped at Sundrum Castle, and then for lunch at a castle hotel and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery. One of our favorite stops was at Silent Valley Reservoir — just stunning and so peaceful! Fergal arranged to have us shuttled up to the top so we wouldn’t have to make the long walk, which was very much appreciated. We were moved as we visited St. Patrick’s grave site in Downpatrick, and we enjoyed a quick pint before boarding the ferry across Strangford Lough. I can’t even begin to list all the things we did and saw during our day with Mr. Kearney because it took us to a state of just being present in the moment with each twist and turn of the road. We’d highly recommend ANY tour with Fergal and In-Site Tours! The man is a wealth of information, and within minutes of meeting him you feel as if you’re catching up with an old friend. My husband and I travel to Ireland frequently and have been in all 32 counties, but we’ll keep going back to NI just to see our new friend Fergal.
