Itinerary
Starting at San Miguel Square, your culinary journey will lead you through La Latina, Cava Baja, and Cuchilleros Streets, famous for their tapas culture.
Visit a local tavern to taste stuffed mushrooms and slow-cooked chorizo in cider with beer.
Enjoy a guided walk through the historic Madrid de los Austrias, passing iconic landmarks such as Mercado de San Miguel, Plaza Mayor, the legendary Restaurante Botín, Puerta Cerrada, and Calle Huertas.
Next, just steps from lively Huertas Street, we begin in a cozy “Casa de Comidas” — a renovated traditional bar — to taste tender Iberian pork cheeks (“Carrilleras”) with creamy smashed potatoes and a glass of red wine.
Walking through Las Letras neighborhood, Calle Huertas, Lope de Vega house museum, Plaza Santa Ana and Teatro Español
Then, we'll stroll through the vibrant Plaza de Santa Ana, past the historic Teatro Español, soaking up the atmosphere of one of Madrid’s liveliest areas. Our next stop features a classic Gambas al Ajillo — sizzling shrimp with garlic served in a clay dish.
And what better way to end this culinary adventure than by heading up to a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Madrid? Raise a glass of sparkling cava, toast to an unforgettable evening, and share stories with fellow travelers. Join us for this group experience, where every stop tells a story, every bite reveals a tradition, and every moment makes you feel like a true Madrileño.

A great experience of Madrid
We had a great experience! Mario was an exceptional guide!! The tapas was delicious. The wines were a perfect match. The rooftop view was excellent. The other participants were fun and the tone was welcoming. And we got some much enjoyed history of Madrid. Definitely recommend this event!
Amazing guide!
Augustin was an amazing guide!! Really enjoyed the experience. The food, wine and company was also very nice.
Mario was amazing! He was...
Mario was amazing! He was truly lovely and provided an amazing experience. A bit disappointed that we didn’t follow the itinerary that was in the notes for booking (no garlic shrimp in clay pots, a huge staple and our favorite from our previous trip in Madrid). I know it was a Friday, so crazy busy and a lot of walking in between stops. We hit almost 10K steps just in this excursion. For us, totally fine, thankfully. I think it could have been quite difficult for others. Again, Mario was amazing. That said, we met amazing people, and that’s what we will remember.
