Itinerary
On this luxury private guided day tour, we travel from Dublin south through the majestic countryside, visiting Tipperary along the way, to see the Rock of Cashel. Its wonderful ruins date back to the 5th century. This wonderful castle was home of the ancient Kings of Munster
“There is a stone there, that whoever kisses, OH! He never misses, to grow eloquent.” We arrive in Blarney at lunch time, to visit the gardens and kiss the magical stone on top of the castle. Learn about the history of Blarney Castle and its myths and visit its wonderful gardens with 70 acres of parkland. You will also have some time for shopping at the world famous Blarney Woolen Mills, the largest store in Ireland, which is housed in Ireland's oldest and most authentic Irish woollen mills.
After visiting Blarney Castle, we will do a scenic tour of Cork City and you will have the opportunity to visit the "English Markets" (trading since 1788), one of Cork's and Europe's finest enclosed food markets.

Great Day
Was a great day. Our Driver Don was terrific. Very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend him.
'Twas a grand time, to be sure!
Don shared tons of information - anecdotal, historical, contemporary, funny - while we were on the road. He made a few unscheduled stops to accommodate photos ops and special requests. He was super helpful in planning the itinerary to fit both our schedule and competing cruise ship arrivals so we had almost no waiting anywhere we went. He also made sure we had water, snacks, charging capabilities and was just a fantastic host and guide overall. We loved our first tour so much we jumped at the chance to ride out with him again later in the week! WHEN we come back to Dublin, we'll be looking to have Don show us around some of the places we missed this time around!
Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle
I highly recommend this tour. We enjoyed Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle. The grounds at Blarney are absolutely beautiful and there is a lot to see. We prefer a private tour versus large group tours for flexibility and it is more comfortable for a long day tour from Dublin. Our driver was great and very knowledgeable.
