Taking the tipping over the top
Even though you pay for the experience you are expected to give tips to everyone, I'll explain: Got picked by a guy with asked for a tip, then he dropped me and someone else came and took me to a boat to cross the river and also asked for tip, the boat guy brought out the tip jar, and then we got picked up by another driver that took us to a shop where they try to sell you spices and whatnots and offer "free" water or tea but want donations, then that same driver took us to the quad experience and asked how much was I going to tip him on way back, then the guy that took us on quad bike wanted to sell us scarfs plus at the end wanted tip because he took photos of us, on the way back driver took us back to shop , don't know why, maybe they expected for us to buy stuff , then took us back to the boat where he then asked for the tip, the boat people were different from the way in which also wanted/expected tip , the guy that then brought us back to the hotel asked how much I was going to tip him. Overall there was about 6 people involved that all wanted tipping or sell stuff of some sorts. I'm not the kind of guy not to tip but enough is enough and I'll never be using Viator or "Nice trips" ever again, just not what you want when you paid £110 for the experience for two, it did spoil it.
Horrible, to be avoided, because they are not professionals this is a big scam. Be very careful.
It was marked 2 hours on the site, they are very poorly organized, because I arrived there it was 5:30 pm. My pick-up was around 4:10 pm, I did 15 to 20 minutes of quad biking and it was almost night. By far the worst experience in Egypt, plus you have to pay the children by boat.
Quadricycle Tour
The driver picked us up at the hostel, on time. We got the instructions and then we left with the quadriciclos. We made a stop to climb a hill and take pictures. On the way we stopped in a tent and drank hibiscus tea. They were very attentive.
Complete Scam
COMPLETE SCAM! I felt like I was being held against my will. They picked me up and drop me randomly off at a boat which I was already confused since that’s not part of the itinerary. Then drive me far away and after I was forced to tip them, they say the tour was cancelled and he tried to get me to go to some bazaar but after arguing I got him to take me back to my hotel. He blocked me from exiting the boat so I had to muscle my way off the boat. Nice Tours should be renamed Nice Scams. Luckily I am a big guy but if I was a solo female traveler, I would have been extremely scared. I do not recommend this company. They should be banned from Viator.
Nice Tours Luxor
We were picked up from the hotel on time in a clean, air-conditioned car. The driver's name was Roman and was very polite and nice. We were driven to a bot where a very nice employee named Hesham was waiting for us. He accompanied us to the other bank of the Nile with a bot. Hesham was also very polite and went to great lengths. On the other bank he made sure we were picked up very quickly. The quad ride was very nice . Our quide was very nice and took time to explain everything to us calmly. It was a very nice day and my children were happy. Thanks to Nice Tours in Luxor.
