Should be called a “Newport HISTORY Tour”

This is a nice walking tour through Newport KY that tells the history of Newport and how it came to be a city in Northern KY. This is NOT really a “mobster” tour as advertised. Yes, casinos and prohibition speakeasies are talked about, but that is part of Newport history. I would recommend if you want a nice history of Newport, but not if you just want to hear stories of the mobsters.

Gangster Tour Guide Spills Newport's Secrets

The Newport Gangster Tour was astonishing! Miranda, our tour guide, was delightful. Animated. Fun. A terrific story teller. Really knowledgeable. She told stories as if she had been there. And wow, were there stories! Gambling. Murder. Fraud. Jealousy. Secrecy. Tunnels. A few haunted stories, too. The length was 90 minutes or so, and well worth the time.
