Itinerary
After morning pickup at your Beijing hotel, travel in a private vehicle to the Longqing Gorge (Longqingxia Gorge), located about 55 miles (90 km) north of downtown Beijing. Flanked on both sides by green peaks and capped to the north by the Gucheng Reservoir, built in 1981, the gorge offers peaceful yet dramatic scenery of wooded mountains, curious stones, and karst caves. During a 1.5-hour cruise through the ravine, feel the gentle breeze blowing against your face and enjoy the view of passing attractions like Baihua (Hundred Flowers) Cave and the Shenxianyuan (Immortal) and Jingang temples. Take escalator inside the dragon boby, and then take the cruise along the beautiful liver enjoy the beautiful scenery.
After the morning boat ride, enjoy a lunch of regional cuisine at a famer's house. Then you will heading to the Badaling Great Wall. One of the most magnificent sections of the Great Wall around Beijing. This section of the Wall is about 2.3-miles long (3.7 kilometers) and on average 26-feet (8 meters) high. The highest section is wide enough for five horses to ride abreast. Badaling was the earliest part open to the visitors among all the sections of the Great Wall in Beijing. You can hike the Great Wall for two to three hours, or have the option to take cable car up and down (own expense). After the full-day tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in downtown Beijing.

Tour to Longqingxia Gorge and the Great Wall
It was a great expierince seeing both the Longqingxia Gorge and the Great Wall. The driver was on time and we started the trip right away. The tour guide Linda was really friendly and gave us some information about the Great Wall as well as the history behind it during the drive. In general she was eager to give some insides during the whole trip, most of the time information wasn't really in depth though. She was answering all our questions regarding the trip and general questions about China. It was nice chatting with her. Although some problems arose on the way to the Great Wall (which weren't the fault of the driver nor the guide) they adopted quickly and changed plans accordingly. There weren't any inconvieniences for us, that was fantastic. The Longqingxia Gorge is really beautiful and I would definitly recommend going there. We took the boat back and forth and could take a lot of photos. Sometimes it felt a bit rushed, because the area was really big and there was a lot to see, but generally we had a great time there. Lunch took place in an actual local restaurant and not in a touristy place. Be aware of that, because it was a typical Asian place (loud, living animals in tanks and so on) and the tables were dirty. We didn't mind that, because we're used to stuff like that, but if you're sensitive regarding such matters talk to the guide beforehand or don't book the trip. The food was really tasty and they ordered a lot for us. We're really happy we booked the trip, because without the driver and the guide we wouldn't have made it to those two places, especially in such a fast and easy way. The guide handled everything regarding tickets and everything else. It was such memorable day. We definitly recommend seeing Longqingxia Gorge and the Great Wall. Altough the trip was really pleasent, the tour company didn't answer in chat before the the trip started which caused some inconvienience for us. That's why we can only give 4.5 stars.
