Little Museum of Dublin Guided Tour

Really energetic, vibrant and engaging tour with Saul at the Little Museum followed by a pleasant guided walk around the park that added to the history of the area. We would highly recommend a visit to this place but keep in mind you do need to be open to the history/artefacts being presented in an interactive/performance style - this is not a simple wander around a load of artefacts on the walls (although you are welcomed to explore these after the initial video and tour). This is a great place to start your time in Dublin and learn about the area's culture, key figures, history and politics. There is a fun introduction video and then our guide, Saul, gave an incredibly energetic delivery of the history of the area over the two main rooms of the museum. Crowd participation was encouraged but it was not mandatory. After the tour, we also joined a guided tour around the park, with Mark, opposite, which further supplemented our understanding of the area. We were then very much welcomed back in to the museum to explore all the exhibits, and an additional floor, at our leisure. There is a gift shop with a great selection of items too. The genuine passion for Dublin, the museum's task/purpose, and wanting to ensure guests enjoyed their visit, by all the staff we met throughout our visit, was really appreciated and noted. Definitely one to put on your list when visiting Dublin and a big thanks to Saul for the very fun, engaging, informative tour with a very impressive performance at the end, and Mark for the relaxing and educational park tour!

From the moment we arrived at the Little Museum of Dublin, the entire experience was fantastic. Emma, our tour guide, was absolutely brilliant — witty, knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly engaging. She brought Irish history to life in a way that made the whole experience feel truly magical. The tour gave us a fascinating look at Ireland’s history, but what made it so memorable was Emma’s wonderful sense of humour. She had a brilliant way of finding the funny side of so many moments and poking fun at the quirks of Irish history and culture. It was informative without ever feeling like a history lesson, and entertaining from beginning to end. Emma was the perfect guide and made the experience something we’ll genuinely remember. A fantastic experience and a must-visit in Dublin!

Fantastic experience. Lovely warm welcome from very friendly staff. The tour guides were knowledgeable and very entertaining. We could have stayed all day, there was so much to see. Everything was really well laid out, with easy access and great facilities. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend the Little Museum of Dublin

An absolute jewel of a place and not least because of tour guide Evan, singing and poetry reciting marvel of a man! Irish history comes alive, best entertaining tour ever, you’ll also learn lots of new things!
