BEST DAY EVER - FIRST TIMER WITH NO KIDS
So I had my first day at LEGOLAND California and was a little nervous being an adult with adult friends and going without kids. What were we going to do there? BEST DAY EVER. Aside from seeing all the areas and builds around the park, the shops were so amazing with unique items and themes in each area. I was already having a great time, then we met Renate in the VIP tour and she’s a living legend in the LEGO community. Aside from the amazing tour, getting to her her stories about park openings across the world was just amazing. HIGHLY recommend the VIP tour if you can do it. And a Renate minifig needs to be placed somewhere in the park.
Worst experience
Purchased the 3 day tickets from Costco used one of them on 2/22/26. Expiration says 6/6/26. Tried to go for the second day 5/16/26. Now all of a sudden the other days had to be used within 60 days of first visit. I’m not able to put into words how tragic this is to my 3 kids. I’m trying to console them while I spent 25 mins calling Legoland and NEVER being able to get to speak to an actual human. All this aside, Legoland is the biggest waste of money. It is absolutely the most boring amusement park in existence. There’s barely anything to do without spending extra money. The rides are only fun for kids under 3 but you have to be taller than a 3 year old to go on any of them. The food is like cardboard. The displays are ugly and definitely not worth the cost of admission. Shame on legoland for misleading consumers, for traumatizing my kids, and for stealing my money. Same for Costco to allow this to happen to their members.
Great experience
Always a great time visiting LEGOLAND, but someone made it a special day for my kids , the most kindest employee Renate. If you are there pay her visit, she one of the best employees
Three generation fun
Great family fun for two six year olds, parents and grandparents. Arrived at opening and stayed entire day (only 6 hours right now) but so much more we could have seen. A bit disappointed in the obvious aging of a lot of the displays. Especially in the LEGO city area. There was a lot of upselling and a few meltdowns with denials. Food was expensive but at least at the Bbq place it was very tasty and filling. Not terribly crowded on a Thursday in May so we did all the rides and activities we wanted. Many of them multiple times with no More than a 15 minute wait. Perfect for the 6 year olds set! The new Galactic coaster was pretty cool but in think the undersea submarine ride was an unexpected favorite. Sorry we didn’t get to the aquarium.
It was ok
Expensive and overcrowded but a lot of good rides for younger kids. The stores could've used better lego exclusives and there was hardly any signage for restrooms which added stress. Overall, it was an ok experience. Glad we didnt buy the annual passes though.
