Itinerary
Why is Antwerp called the city of giants? Why is the hand the symbol of the city? How did Antwerp come to be the richest city in the 16th century in Europe and what are the reasons for its decline? We'll give you a full introduction about the city of Antwerp on the beautiful main square.
The Stone Castle is the oldest building of the city and was once the home of the famed giant. Learn about the many functions this ancient building has played throughout the history of Antwerp.
The oldest guild house of the city, the Butcher's Hall carries a long, interesting and often bloody history!
Next we'll take a look at the beautiful Baroque Church of Carolus Borromeus, once the playground of the famed painter Rubens.
Pass by: Passing by the Farmers tower and the Meir shopping street, we take you to the Rubens museum, where the most famous painter of Antwerp lived and worked his whole life.
Next we'll take you through the smallest street of Antwerp for a unique throwback to the Middle Ages.
We end the tour in front of the majestic Cathedral of Antwerp to talk about its history and to tell you some legendary stories of long forgotten times.
After passing by the fashion quarter and the fashion district, we stop in front of the Plantijn-Moretus museum, the place where industrial printing was born.

Highly recommended tour with Luc
We booked a tour through Antwerp with Luc. The tour was incredibly interesting and exciting. Luc was a really pleasant and friendly guide who always had a funny remark or an interesting fact to share. The two hours flew by, and we felt like we had explored all of Antwerp. Highly recommended!
Great tour!
Tom was a great tour guide! He was super nice and shared so much information about Antwerp that we would have never known without doing this tour. Highly recommend as a way to get a feel of the city!
Great tour Good guide Group though large. No max 6 people but 20 people!?!?!
Unfortunately the group was 20 people instead of max 6 hence a 4
Interesting tour about the history of Antwerp.
