Itinerary
Check in at the Fabrication and Training facility, where your custom-built off-road machines are ready for action. After getting fitted with safety gear and watching a brief orientation video, head to the Dune Buggy staging area about a mile away, where you can store personal items in free lockers. The rugged vehicles feature a low, wide stance for stability, a fully welded double-loop steel roll cage, and a 4-point harness seat belt, offering a longer and more intense experience than other race driving tours!
Drive through 15,000 acres of diverse high desert terrain just outside Las Vegas, with views of the Strip from the tops of the dunes. After a quick orientation, your guide will lead small groups on an intense chase that will push your skills to the limit. Once your adventure ends, drop off your safety gear, collect your secured items, grab your souvenir T-shirt, and enjoy a shuttle ride back to your starting point.

Five stars from beginning to end
This experience from beginning to end was absolutely amazing! My 10-year-old nephew and I did it together and we had the best time. From the pick up to the drop off and everything in between. Our Guide, Charley, went above and beyond to make sure my nephew and I had the best experience. I cannot say enough positives about this tour.

Amazing excursion!
We had an amazing experience with SunBuggy! Larry picked us up on the shuttle at the valet area in front of our hotel. He also fitted us for helmets and was so nice. My family with two teens rented dune buggies and rode two per buggy. Karma was our guide and she was awesome! She went over safety measures, explained the details of how the excursion would go, was considerate of me not wanting to speed race, and knew the quirks and qualities of each buggy well. She’s been driving on these dunes since she was a teen, which made us trust her even more. It was such a thrill and one of the most fun experiences we have had!
Incompetent Management - Waste of Money
Terms Patricia Alessi 3 reviews 5 days ago New On January 5, I was contacted by Scott Bradford, asking for our (my family's and my) experience with our Mini-Baja X (60 min) Sun Buggy experience, on Dec 29, 2025. ( reservation # 236159 ) When my daughter booked the activity, she was given an 8 am reservation. We arrived at 7:45 am. Even though all our paperwork had been signed ahead of time, we assumed we’d need to be there earlier for set-up; helmets and instructions. We sat in the waiting room until 10 am while other groups arrived intermittently, mostly by shuttle, up until 10 am. The only staff member who spoke to us was the one who fitted us for our helmets. Obviously, we were frustrated with the long wait and didn’t understand why “our” reservation was delayed to accommodate all the later reservations. Why were we not shuttled to the trails for our early reserved time? One couple, arrived at 10 am and conveniently for them, they were added to our group shuttle and ride. During our long wait, not one staff member made an effort to talk to us nor apologize for the inconvenience. Once we were on the trail, my husband's buggy broke down and we sat there for another 25 minutes while a replacement buggy arrived. We do understand that sometimes these things do happen, but, our guide did not hide the fact that he was "put out” by the situation. When I communicated this to Scott, rather than acknowledging the frustrations of our experience, he said it was normal for an 8 am reservation to start "just after 9 am". Furthermore, he made excuses for his staff. He expressed that his staff wanted to be with their families during the holiday season and that the company had to "make due" with the staff at hand. Then he thanked me for my perspective and said he "really appreciated my detailed feedback". Seriously? So much for customer satisfaction. No apologies, no blame on the part of the company for the long delay, nor of the staff's behavior while we sat there for 2:15 hours. And even though the experience with the guide was so-so, I left him a $25 tip, because it was the right thing to do. I wrote back to Scott a second time, expressing my frustration over his lack of concern for our experience. He did not write back. I’m very disappointed that our experience was ignored. A reputable company would have compensated in some way. Scott did not respond to my second email, I called 702-644-2855 twice. On the first call I spoke one staff member, explaining the situation and hoping to reach a higher-up manager of Sun Buggy. I never heard back. The second time I called, the staff member did follow through, and notified Max- Billng Manager, who did get back to me. I asked for him to consider a fair refund for our experience. Once again, no response. It is clear that neither Communication nor Customer Satisfaction are priorities with Sun Buggy. I am extremely disgruntled after spending $1200, and reaching out with calls and emails, that I am being ignored. I was hoping for some resolution.
