Traveler reviews
Wow a packed 10 hours!
Bellagio can have nasty weather. We ran into an intense hail storm. Everything was gray, wet, windy, and nail size hail dropped on our heads. Certainly a different kind of experience. The boat ride was rough and we boarded a wrong ferry and separated with our group. Forumately there was a different tour group from the same tour company. The very kind tour guide integrated the two of us into his group and we visited Swiss Lugano, Como city and back to Milan at the same time. It was a ten hour tour. I should have expected exhaustion
Nice time spent around Milan.
Great to get out of Milan and see life around Lake Lario/Como with time to wander around . Many tourists on the move but did not feel too crowded. Our guide Alejandro had a humorous and cheerful way to give us all the necessary information.
First, I emailed the coordinator 2 days before to pick up at hotel and also tried to call you and phone kept hanging up
First, I emailed the coordinator 2 days before to pick up at hotel and also tried to call you and phone kept hanging up and we barely made it to meetup bus because traffic so bad. The tour was great until we took a long detour to Lake Como town which had nothing interesting and didn’t see point
Beautiful scenery
Excellent clean bus guides
Good Not Great
This trip was good. It could have been amazing. The private boat ride is a must! Although I believe we were supposed to have a 2 hour ride, and it was only an hour. However, the views from the lake are absolutely stunning. The best part of the tour by far. The town of Bellagio was also really nice. It’s a beautiful place. We were encouraged to grab a snack or gelato if we wanted, but were advised that we’d have more time to eat at the next stop. The problems actually began with the next stop at Verano. It was very small and already overcrowded even before we arrived. The restaurant lines were long and there was not enough time to eat (nor was there much to see). Most of the restaurant options were very far away from the meeting spot, so we just returned and sat so we wouldn’t be late for the ferry. Then for some reason our ferry was 30 minutes late. So, guess what? We could have actually eaten! :( Once the ferry arrived to take us to the bus stop to take the bus to Como City, you guessed it. The bus was also late! Because we got to Como City late the trip was extended about an hour to give us some time there. From what we saw of Como City, it was really beautiful. But because we were starving, we opted to eat over exploring. That turned out to be a mistake. In my opinion, the stop in Verano was entirely unnecessary. The tour would have been much better with that time being split between Bellagio and Como City. That would have given us enough time to explore more and eat in either place. I would like to highlight that our tour guide Anna was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. She couldn’t herself have done anything better.
