Itinerary
On this fully escorted tour we pass through various eco systems and experience the harsh alpine environment of the mountain. As we ascend, view the massive rock formation of the Organ Pipes. Enjoy the Observatory and short walks.
Visit the Cascade Gardens, some of Hobart's most picturesque and historic gardens dating back to 1827. View the remains of the Cascades Female Factory -a one-time female prison
From your relaxing scenic cruise along the Derwent River, view Mona's striking architecture, as your anticipation builds of what lies beyond. Mona houses Australia's largest private collection of art and artefacts. After the sensory overload, you can explore the beautiful surrounds of the Museum and enjoy a delicious meal at either the Source Restaurant, Museum Cafe or Wine Bar.
View the exterior of this one-time female prison for an insight into the lives of the women convicts once imprisoned there. Your driver guide will provide all the history of this fascinating site.

Traveler reviews
Our guide to Mt...
Our guide to Mt Wellington was quite the fun yapper, sharing abit of information on Hobart's history. Was a super windy day up there, definitely a memorable experience
"Magic" Crade mountain.
Our driver was very good in that his commentary was both informative and entertaining. We had enough stops for comfort breaks and to buy food and each chosen spot provided quality food (especially the "dairy " - best ice cream I've ever tasted). Cradle Mountain was spectacular and we even got a fine, clear day and we were able to see the whole mountain which, apparently doesn't always happen. All in all, a bloody good day.
Exceptional tour and guide!
A thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour! What an amazing view of greater Hobart and the Derwent River system from atop Mt Wellington. A once in a life time experience was had seeing a platypus swimming in the waterway adjacent Cascade Brewery on the return leg. The 2nd half of the tour was visiting MONA. An unforgettable and unique contemporary art setting and experience - escapism at its best! Thank you to our talented tour guide who was super interesting and knowledgeable.
Just ok
Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. Very windy, cold and no view. Driver’s microphone didn’t work half the time and couldn’t hear what he was saying. He took us to other spots with a view.
Beautiful Mount Wellington
Mount Wellington is always a great - although I was completely amazed how cold & windy it was for late November! We had clear skies, My only advice? Rug up, as you never know up there. Hands & face felt icy cold. 💗
