Next on your itinerary is the King’s Palace, or Istana Negara, which hundreds of photographers visit each year. Capture the magnificent beauty of the complex's opulent architecture that includes 22 domes.
You also have the opportunity to take some pictures of modern buildings mixed in with colonial masterpieces in the center of Merdeka (Independence) Square, one of the architectural jewels of Kuala Lumpur.
Take a break from the hustle and bustle at the Lake Gardens, where you can wander the trails of the manicured park. Don’t forget to photograph the picturesque Orchid Gardens.
After soaking up the panoramic view, pay a visit to Thean Hou Temple, whose red pillars, dragons, and prayer rooms reflect an eclectic mixture of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. The temple is dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, and its shrine and sculptures represent the animals of the Chinese Zodiac.

Traveler reviews
Perfect if limited time in KL
With only 24 hours in Kuala Lumpur a private day tour was the best option. Our guide Ayyanar was excellent. A informative guide, careful driver and great company for the day. He successfully drove us to all the main sites around the city explaining historical facts and local knowledge. Having time in the clean air conditioned car in between stops was a luxury. At the end of our tour dropped us off at the airport (For a negotiated fee so we didn’t have to get a separate taxi). Highly recommend
Best tour of Batu Caves and Kuala Lumpur with Ayyanar
We spent the most amazing, well organized, enjoyable, and informative day with Ayyanar! From the Batu Caves, beautiful hand made batiks, Mosques, Temples, markets, Palace, and Twin Towers, the whole day was a perfect flavor of Kuala Lumpur. Ayyanar was the most gracious and lovely tour guide. Highly recommend this exceptional private tour experience!
Great tour to get the highlights of Kuala Lumpur
We spent an action packed day with Sathia. She took us to many highlights in the city, including Batu Caves, a Batik design shop, the National Mosque, the National Monument, 2 markets, a walk along the River of Life, Petronas Towers and ended with a visit to the Royal Palace. Although we visited many landmarks we never felt rushed. Sathia was a very personable and knowledgeable guide. In a city with a lot of traffic we felt very safe while riding with Sathia behind the wheel. She was a very safe driver. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with her. We highly recommend her tour!!
