Awesome Swimming Opportunities In The Jungle!

This half-day trip is fabulous! You get to swim in the huge Emerald Pool and view the Blue Pool and Crystal Pool. Then it's off to these awesome outdoor hot mineral springs, right in the middle of the jungle! The tour guide is super helpful and has good English. Lunch was in a restaurant and is provided as part of the tour. The food was delicious! Five stars from me!

Emerald pool and hot springs

Fabulous bathing. Short walk. The pool is a beautiful colour and warm to swim in, and the hot springs are hot like a bath. Can be a bit slippery but people will help each other so it’s ok. Well worth the visit.

A must see! Enjoy a soak at the Hot Springs

We really enjoyed this half day tour! We were picked up at our Ao Nang accommodation around 830am and got back at 3pm. Still a fairly full day and we were tired by the time we got back so we were happy not to have the temple with 1200 steps still to go! We had an hour to swim at the Emerald Pool. While you are there it’s worth walking the extra 10 mins to the Blue Pool - not for swimming. There is a concrete path from the entry to the pools. The shortcut back to the entry is gravel. Our tour did not include lunch but there was no issue stopping at the same restaurant to order & buy our own food. The prices of the meals were cheaper than we had found in Ao Nang! It meant we were still close by our tour guide who handled both tours (full & half day). Next stop the Hot Springs. Also there for an hour where you can jump between different temperature pools and cool off in the river. I think the minerals in the water contributed to our feeling so relaxed and a bit sleepy at the end. Just what we all needed! If you have some sensory issues being in bare feet in the natural waters, bring reef shoes. We didn’t find sharp rocks but there is some leaf litter at the bottom that feels squishy under foot. As far as the walk goes, we had orthopaedic thongs/flip flops that were fine to walk in. I don’t think you need shoes & socks. Highly recommend!

Nice experience

The tour was very nice but the best was definitely the staff. Our guide Chao (hopefully remembering his name well) was the best. My friend felt bad and the whole team was attentive at all times, they behaved amazingly.

Not enjoyable

This whole thing was very overpriced and very underwhelming. The entrance fee wasn’t included so we were essentially just paying for an overpriced taxi as the guide was just dropping us off. We went when all the other tours went so it was insanely busy to the point where it wasn’t even enjoyable. We ended up not even going in the emerald pool as there were too many people and we just took a taxi home as we didn’t feel like waiting over 2 hours to be taken back to our hotel. We were extremely dissatisfied with this avoid it if you can and just book a transfer elsewhere.
